Wow. What a night. So, this is our first same day edit video. If you don't know what an SDE is, its when you shoot, edit and show a 3-4 minute recap of the wedding after dinner. Yeah...
We were fortunate enough to have our first SDE with Cristina and Gus. Cristina is a beautiful, elegant party girl and Gus has a personality that is a larger than life. They were really in to making this happen.
I want to give a special thanks to my team Hector Gil and Danny Marzoa. Without them, FMS would not be where it is today. My boys. :)
So here it is. As shown tonight 11/26/2010 at Cristina and Gus wedding. Our first SDE. Hope you like it.
My Lien and Tieng got married in Fort Lauderdale Beach on September 19, 2010. These two were a blast. Tieng was part of the creative process throughout the day. They got ready at the W hotel in Fort Laderdale. This hotel has some really nice spaces. The reception was at the Josephine Opera Center. We had a lot of fun shooting this wedding. We hung with our friends Phillip and Ashley from 1313blog.com. Look for the car scene where I almost flew out of the convertible trying to shoot from the back of a moving car.
Wow, It took me forever to update the post for this. At the time I uploaded this video I was super, super busy, but enough about me. lol Well Danielle and Michael had a great party and are supper nice, we had done a concept video for their save the date, click here if you haven't seen that.
Bindu and Michael got married May 29, 2010 at the chateau de Verbust in Lyon, France. We flew to to Lyon through Paris with 150lbs of equipment. We got to Lyon on Thursday, we scouted the city a bit and met with Bindu and Michael. Every day after that was a shooting day until Sunday when we made our way back home.
Bindu and Michael chose the Chateau de Verbust, a beautiful mansion in the middle of the French countryside. He is from New York and her Family is from Hong Kong so they decided to get married somewhere in the middle. It was a pleasure and honor to be part of Bindu and Michael's marriage.
Ashley and Matt got Married at the very cool Mayfair Hotel and Spa Hotel in Coconut Grove, Florida.
Their wedding was one of fun and energy. Ashley and Matt were troopers, we were going around the the venue taking pictures and video and it was quite hot. The reception and the Final countdown band were awesome. It felt like we were at a concert. It was definitely a good crowd and energy.
Nicole and Chris got married at the beautiful Vizcaya Museum and Gardens on April 8, 2010.
Nicole and Chris live in New York and found me online. We spoke a few times and met a week before the wedding. When we sat down they told me their story. Nicole and Chris had been together for 11 years. They first met in Mexico during spring break and later had a had a daughter together (Charli). This day meant a lot to them...it was the culmination of a story and the beginning of a life.
Vizcaya is an amazing location, I could shoot there for days. A Joy Wallace Catering Production did an amazing job setting it all up. I also had the pleasure of working with Carlos Baez photography, the man is a legend.
Nicole and Chris, it was a pleasure working with you guys, I hope you like the trailer.
Maria and Andy got married Saturday March 27, 2010 at the beautiful Hawks Cay resort. They had a destination wedding in the Florida Keys.
We drove to Duck Key and it took about 2 hour to get there. We arrived and were in cinematographers heaven. The Hawks Cay Resort has a bunch of cool places to shoot. They even have a dolphin cove next to the pool. The day and weather were perfect.
When I started this trailer I thought I was going to be using a Spanish song for sure, but like always I ended up editing a piece and restarting from the beginning. The song I ended up using resonated with the day, happy and full of smiles. I got to work with a great team of vendors. Everything moved along and was very organized. Maria and Andy were awesome! Sharing in their day was truly special and I wish them all the happiness in the world.
Monica and Alex got Married at St. Kevin's Catholic Church on Friday March 5th, 2010. Their Reception was at Douglas Entrance in Coral Gables.
This was an emotional wedding, Alex is the first son to get married and the first cousin from his family to get married. Monica is an only child from parents that were only children as well. There were two families that although they were letting go of their children they felt happy that they found each other.
This trailer had a past life. After editing a full trailer I realized that the original trailer was too polarizing and it would not satisfy most people as it was very personal to the family. I then started from scratch and came up with this one.
Prop's to my right hand Hector Gil for executing the trunk to shoe box transition. There are a couple of underlined messages on the selection of some of the clips. Putting the baggage in the trunk symbolizes the end of an old life and the new shoes symbolize a new beginning.
Tanya and Javier got married Saturday February 13, 2010 at the Palms Hotel and Spa. I have to say that Tanya and Javier are one my favorite couples to date. I can't even describe what it feels to have a couple just let you do whatever you want with them and give you support and full creative freedom. I arrived at Tanya's family apartment in downtown Miami and the place had an spectacular view. There were good spots for shots everywhere. I walked around and found the perfect spot for the dress shot by the pool. To get the shot I had to stand on top of a table on my tippy toes and loop a string from the hanger through a very small hole ten feet up in the air. After the ceremony Tanya and Javier took pictures and video for a good 45 minutes and then proceeded to stay alone with me for another 30 minutes. The coordinator was advising us that the reception was ready to start, but Javi and Tanya wanted to keep shooting until there was no light. We did, another shoot around 9pm as well with the photographer, Manolo Dorested, from InFocus photography. The man is a machine, fast, accurate and creative. He has a great eye for locations and moments, fixes the brides hair in a pinch and knows how to remove stains! I saw him do it all in a span of 4 hours. He is a Taurus like my second camera man and I, bulls were running the show. Javier and Tanya insisted that we eat from the guest buffet and made sure we ate at the same time as the guests, he even called us during dinner to make sure everything was good. After the wedding Javier invited us to go to the after party at the Fountainbleu Hotel. We hung out and smoked Cohibas. It felt like we were filming the wedding of a couple of old friends. A wedding like this is the reason I throw myself in the sand and work non-stop for twelve hours.
Today I spent the day with Danielle and Michael. Danielle and Michael had met with me and the guys from photography by John Paul to come up with some ideas for their engagement session. Danielle wanted something to have the look of a music video. So JP, Elizabeth and I agreed to do the e-session together taking turns with pictures and video. Well, with resilience after being escorted out of one of the locations lol. I think we pulled it off. Special thanks for my boy Hector and my wife for handing me lenses all day long.
Check out John Paul Soto Blog posting with his pictures of the shoot. Click Here.
Cathy and Chris got married January 30th 2010 at the Ocean Manor Resort following the reception at the Josephine Opera Center in Fort Lauderdale.
Cathy's wedding was part of the TLC show four weddings. We coordinated with a crew of 8 to film the wedding. The photographer was Ashley Colhouer. She was super, super nice. Her work is amazing. This was a very beautiful wedding. This is the first time we have done a complete wedding with our canon 5d/7d camera's. I'm very happy with the results as we try to bring something new and better in every wedding.
At FMS we are taking a break. We worked on weddings for four years on the weekends. It was a great experience and we learned a lot about filming and people. We never did this full time so our full time jobs and families kept growing and we have decided to put FMS on hold for a later time. Thank you all for the good times and letting us be a part of your special day.

Packages
Our pricing model gives you a choice between three basic packages, all containing an artistically edited video capturing special moments from your wedding in the form of a story. The difference in the three packages is the length of the main video segment. We always recommend adding the raw footage option as that will have all of the unedited footage, including footage that did not make the final cut. Our goal is to deliver a video tailored to each couple's unique personality and wedding story.
